Stratagies

Every move matters! Whether it’s a game of tic-tac-toe or a challenge on the playground, our students are learning to think critically, take turns, and celebrate each other’s success — one playful moment at a time.

🎨 Our Principal Takes One for the Team!

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families who donated to our school fundraiser — your generosity makes a difference every single year! 💙

A special shout-out to our incredible PTA for always bringing their best energy, creativity, and school spirit. And of course, a big thank you to our fearless principal, who once again showed his Panther pride by diving right into the fun… literally covered in paint!

We’re so lucky to have a leader who’s not afraid to get a little messy for a great cause! 🐾💥

3rd and 5th Grade participants from CPES are the 2024/2025 Battle of the Book Champions

Panthers from 3rd and 5th Grade won this year's Thompson School District Battle of the Books Competition.

Students have been reading several books from a set list since October. They know these books inside and out.  There have been several mini battles between participating school that lead up to the Grand Battle. It was a long Saturday of waiting but the results are awesome.

The students have been working hard and learning a lot about teamwork.

We are proud of you Panthers!

Congratulations to our very own Destination Imagination team, Los Campeones, in qualifying for the DI Global competition in Kansas City, MO, this May - for a SECOND year in a row! Even more impressive, they compete entirely in Spanish!

We are so proud of you, your creativity, teamwork and achievement!

Preschool students are getting the start they need here at CPES.

Giving your child the gift of a second language

Are you interested in Dual Language Immersion for your preschooler? For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to offer a Dual Language Immersion preschool program to enhance early learning experiences.

The Dual Language Immersion Program is an academic program that enhances the development of content in two languages-English and Spanish, as well as literacy in both languages, so that students will graduate ready for college, career, and life in a globally competitive economy and a collaborative global community. This unique program builds student linguistic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish. Students learn standards-based content as they become linguistically and academically proficient in two languages.

After preschool, students can continue the Dual Language program at Cottonwood Plains Elementary or Truscott Elementary.

If you are interested in this preschool learning opportunity, please indicate your interest in the Preschool Interest Form.
